Private phase accounts by invitation while the integrations are finished
Register your model before you release it. From then on every file that leaves carries a mark in its geometry — so when a copy turns up where it should not be, we can usually tell you which sale it came from, and show that you hold the original.
No DRM. No licence checks. Nothing that decides whether your file may be opened or printed — and three more things we never do.
This is the whole product, in one card: not a warning that piracy exists, but a specific file, in a specific place, traced to a specific sale — and nothing sent to anyone until you say so.
The process
Each one only works because the one before it happened. That is why the first step is the one creators are tempted to skip.
The model goes into a vault, encrypted under a key that belongs to your account alone. We record the shape itself — descriptors computed from the geometry, not a hash of the file — with the moment and the account. The master then stays there. Nothing you post anywhere is the master.
Your store asks us for the file to deliver and we return a copy with a mark embedded in its geometry, unique to that sale. For anywhere we have no integration yet, you export a marked copy yourself and name the channel it is for.
We match on shape first, because a reposted file is never byte-identical to yours. When a match comes up we try to read the mark: either it decodes to a specific sale, or the shape is identified and the mark is not readable. Both become a sighting with an evidence packet.
A sighting is information, not an action. Confirm it, clear it as your own licensee, tell us the match is wrong, or ask us to pursue a takedown. Nothing is sent to anyone until a person here has read the evidence and approved it.

You do not change how or where you sell. What changes is what leaves your hands.

Every download is marked at checkout, without you doing anything per sale. A leak from your own store stops being a mystery and becomes a specific order — which is usually the moment a creator discovers the problem was one reseller, not a hundred customers.
Patreon and the like.
The monthly pack is the worst leak in this business: one member re-uploads a drop and there is nothing in it to say which member. Export a marked copy per channel now; per-member marking arrives with the Patreon integration.
Cults3D, MyMiniFactory, and the rest.
You keep selling exactly where you sell. Register the master here first, post the marked export rather than the master, and the registry holds the record that the original is yours — from before the listing existed.
The mark
Sub-millimetre displacements distributed through the surface. Nothing is added to the file, so there is nothing for a converter to strip, nothing for your buyer to install, and nothing that stops working when a format falls out of fashion.
Format conversion, re-export, slicing, printing, mild decimation and smoothing. In our own attack testing, reliably destroying the mark cost about sixteen times the distortion we use to embed it — and a file damaged that far is visibly damaged, which is itself evidence.
Your master is never modified. Marking happens to the copy delivered at a sale, or to a copy you export for a channel — which is why the master can stay in the vault and still be the thing every sighting is measured against.
Reading a mark needs the templates we stored when we embedded it. There is no public tool, and there never will be: a detector anyone can run is a tool for checking whether it is safe to steal something.
The honest limit
Every provenance service has this limit. We would rather you hear it from us, on the homepage, than discover it the day you need it.
Registered before release
If the master was registered here before any copy of it ever left your hands, then every copy in the world is a marked copy or a damaged descendant of one. So whoever holds the clean original is you, and we can assert it from our own records. Takedowns we file on your behalf attach to these models.
Already out there
Models released before we saw them still get marks on every future sale, shape tracking, sightings and evidence packets that state exactly what we hold and what we saw. What they do not get is us asserting who made it first — for a file that was already in the world, we cannot honestly do that, so we do not.
This is also what closes the worst hole in a registry. Suppose someone lifts your model from behind your paywall and registers it here first, claiming it was never released. You arrive later with the actual master — and your file is clean: it matches theirs below the mark amplitude and carries no mark at all. An unmarked master in a second pair of hands proves their claim false. Their registration is demoted and their account flagged, yours is accepted, and you lose no sales while it is resolved.
Registration order does not decide it. Evidence decides it — including evidence against us being wrong about you, because the same test demotes an honest creator's model if their master leaks unmarked. The full rule is written out here.
Commitments
Not policy we might revise when it becomes inconvenient — these are the constraints the system is built inside, and several of them cost us money.
Nothing we do decides whether a file can be opened, printed or manufactured. No phoning home, no licence checks, no expiry. The mark is a serial number, not a lock — and a serial number keeps working in twenty years, offline, in software we have never heard of.
A free account's models are marked, tracked, registered and recorded exactly like a paid one's. If a copy is found you are told, at no charge, always. What a paid plan buys is the detail: where, when, which sale, and the packet. We will not hold your protection hostage to a price list.
Your store sends an opaque reference for each sale. The mapping from that reference to a person stays in your records. We cannot identify your buyers, because we never receive the means to.
Every notice passes a person's review and a person's click. No mass campaigns, no letter mills, and no cut of anything you recover — a provider paid out of outcomes has an interest in accusing people, and we would rather not have that interest.
What you are charged for
Nothing is charged during the private phase, and the figures are not published yet — they are being reviewed, and a price list revised twice in public is worse than one that arrives once.
What is already decided is the principle, and it will not move: a free account still marks every sale, still tracks shapes, still holds its place in the registry, and is still told whenever a copy is found. Protection is never the thing being withheld. What money buys is the detail — where, when, which sale, the evidence packet — and the work of a person filing a notice.

Masters are encrypted under your account's own key and are never published. Nothing public reveals whether a model is monitored, marked or registered at all — that asymmetry is the point: someone deciding whether to steal a file should not be able to check first whether it is covered.

What is already settled is the shape of it: a free tier that still marks every sale and still tracks shapes, and payment for detail and for work rather than for protection itself.
Registration, marking, decoding, evidence packets, the creator portal, claims and the WooCommerce integration are built and running. The monitoring crawler is built but its isolated host is not deployed yet, and the notice-filing pipeline is done by hand for now. Accounts are by invitation until that list is finished.
